Our House

the house was in worse condition than we thought, so we pulled up allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the carpet. I think someone died in the living room b/c there was a big blooooood spot on the backside of the carpet. gross. what a difference in smell after we threw the carpet outside. omg, no more peepee smell.

we also pulled out the old stove....grease city behind that thing. gross x 2. i painted the laundry closet so it will be nice when the washer/dryer come tomorrow. we still have to put the shelves back, but thats not gonna be hard, after we hose off the layers of grime on the shelves..

we're going to paint the kitchen red and yellow.... like tuscan colors... its gonna be perrrrrty. im stoked. i think we might go to the depot tomrorow and pick out all the rest of the colors so we can get the entire scumball walls painted before we move our crap in.

i have to call the movers and change our moving date AGAIN... i think this is the 3rd time i've had to reschedule. but my parents had a good point.... since we dont have to be out of our apt until jan 31st, we can take our time with the moving stuff and focus on getting the house right.

I CANT WAIT TO GO BACK TOMORROW AND DO MORE STUFF!!!!

Operation Homeowner

Well, my life officially is consumed by cardboard boxes and clear packing tape. We are in the process (well, I am...Jeremy's working so we can pay for the house) of packing up all of our CRAP... thats mostly what it is...

I mean really, who needs 3 9x13 pyrex casseroles? Yes, we've only used the fondue pot ONCE, but its an important kitchen item, plus it came with a really cool plate set that we've never used. I have a set of Corningware I've never used... and an entire box of glasses I found on sale that I have been saving until all the other glasses break (and that could happen at any time!)

Hopefully, since we won't have psychotic parking issues anymore, we'll be more obliged to having folks over for dinner. (Yes mom, that includes you...) I've already invited Jen to come stay with me when Jeremy goes out in January, so the boogiemen don't get me. Plus, we'll be able to carpool to class which will be good.

In the spring, I think we'll have a yard sale, since we have a yard now!!! I'll keep most of the kitchen stuff I'm sure, but I've got other CRAP that I could afford to get rid of to make room for new, nicer CRAP.

In other news, the fall 2005 semester is officially OVER!

Martha: The Apprentice is about to start...and then when its over, its back to the boxes for me!

PS- If you'd like our new address, leave a comment. :)

oh, herro...

well... my downstairs neighbors are driving me crazy @ the moment. they are yelling and screaming at their kids, which in turn causes the kids to scream violently. so obnoxious when you're trying to concentrate on work... which is what i'm supposed to be doing right now.

anywho... jeremy met scarlett for the first time thanksgiving day...

so, the countdown of things to do for the last week of classes has begun to dwindle down. i only have HALF of the 1 MILLION BAZILLION KAJILLION things left to do. ...wish me luck...

after next week, only 5 more months of schoooooool...well, at least for a little while. graduation is 05.06.06... and its about goshdarntime.
